The Brewmeister is located in Historic Folsom, California, and has been supplying the Sacramento area's homebrewing needs for 16 years.  The Brewmeister carries a variety of brewing equipment and supplies, ranging from beginner brewing kits to advanced equipment.  We have grains from around the world, liquid and dry malt extracts, pellet and whole hops!  The Brewmeister is the only Northern California store to carry Wyeast, White Labs and Fermentis lines of brewer's yeast. 

We specialize in providing beer kits modeled after classic beers from all parts of the globe, as well as custom recipes developed by The Brewmeister Staff with their combined 40+ years of experience in fermentation hobbies and science. We are the only store to provide custom smoked malt for beer making.

Recently we moved to a much larger and more convenient location.  The Brewmeister is still in Old Folsom, but now carries more ingredients, hardware and is open more days to serve you better!  You've gotta come see this place!

One of the important reasons for moving the store was to better serve the vast wine making community within the area.  We?ve always wanted to provide more to the growing numbers of home winemakers, but have never had enough space to be effective.  To that end we are continually evaluating and adding more and more wine supplies and equipment to our inventory.  We are planning our first Brewmeister crush this summer! The store owner, Erik Schmid, ran the store in the original Riley Street Location for 2 years, steadily building a solid foundation of customer trust and loyalty before moving to a larger, more customer friendly location in March of 2008.  Erik has been brewing for 20 years and is a 2003 graduate of the American Brewer's Guild.  His brewing specialty is smooth and tasty lagers!  He is one of the areas top REALTORS and works for Lyon Real Estate in Folsom.  If you are looking to move then brew, or vice versa or just one or the other, he is your guy!  Check out his website here.

Shop Manager, Kevin Pratt, has been brewing for 20 years and keeps his skills up in the professional brewing scene, as well.  Kevin is an active BJCP Master Judge and Instructor, one of the BJCP Continuing Education Committee members, as well as the Gold Country Brewer's Association?s 2008 President.  He has organized and run many brewing competitions over the years, including the first round of the 2007 American Homebrewers Association Competition as well as serving as Best of Show Judge for the Western Regional Sam Adams Longshot.  Kevin teaches many of the classes offered by The Brewmeister and is the resident technical expert in all things fermented.  We love him and think you will too!
